What an amazing day for last sundays’ Manchester Day Parade.  The first year this has been laid on and it certainly didn’t disappoint the 77,000  people who had turned out to watch it. Based on the idea of Macys’ Thanksgiving Day Parade, where thousands of folk watch HUGE inflatables take over New York, the celebration for Manchesters’ own communities, organisations and groups was a welcomed one. Sunny day and smiley people everywhere.
