Rob Ryan , Julene Harrison, Cal Lane and Colin Wilbourn

Last year I came across a sculpture trail whilst on holiday in Northumberland.

This is called ‘Stell’ by Colin Wilbourn, and I was impressed by his combined

sculpture, come sheep pen, come living room ensemble. You can find this in Falstone, Nr Kielder.

The ironwork later reminded me of the not so new craze for cut out work in many forms

but particularly in paper. Julene Harrison and Rob Ryan are just two artists who work in this way.

And in case you wanted to get out of digging the field this weekend, think about swopping your shovel

and wheelbarrow for one of Cal Lane‘s beautiful works of art.
