World Wildlife Day

March 3, 2015

Boo 14

I wanted to say a quick hello today as it’s World Wildlife Day. YAY !

I suddenly thought that without the illustrations of nature and the animal world three quarters of my blog posts would be empty !

It’s difficult to imagine a world without animals, and to a large extent we do take them for granted. The birds in our gardens, the bees pollinating flowers and trees and of course the dogs and cats in our lives as well as the larger and increasingly rarer land mammals too.

Just a thought

Happy Day : )

Glad you are keen on WWD. I’ve been supporting and working with FOE, Greenpeace and other environmental organisations for years. (the illustrations I sent you were for FOE) The natural world is under ever increasing pressure from development, pollution, deforestation and overfishing much of it from the expanding economies of the far east and India. Large swathes of China have virtually unbreathable toxic air! Let’s hope we all wise up in time. Mind you, mankind may autodestruct and take many species with us butŠlife on Earth will continue with or without us. OopsŠwent a bit Buddhist there!Š

SoŠanything we can do to enlighten and encourage involvement – like your wonderful blog the better!

    Good man!

All good points Tony. The more people who are aware of what’s really going on in the world the better I say.
