Ryo Takemasa . Japanese Illustrator
September 27, 2013
Born in 1981, and based in Tokyo, Japan. Ryo Takemasa graduated from Musashino Art School.
He has been a freelance illustrator since 2010, and his work is used for books, magazines and advertising etc
He’s as comfortable advertising architectural townscapes …
Or sports.
As he is Food,
Or the outdoors.
He can easily turn his hand to products and places,
As our daily lives and travel plans.
I love this rainy taxi rank, there’s a subtle nod to Miroslav Sasek and earlier Charley Harper there too. Lovely work.

I really love these! Thanks for sharing.
No problem Michelle. He has a great style hasn’t he.
Thank you for sharing!
I have been drawing vectors for some time now and I have been doing them without the outlines. However, I feel that my drawings lack a certain depth to it. I love how he adds textures to give more layers to the illustration and the use of lines at the right points. Really something neat for me to incorporate in my future drawings.
Great to share things I find inspiring and hear that others do too, makes it all the more worthwhile. Thanks for the comment Rusty, good luck developing your ideas.
I love the style! It’s magical (^-^)
